Faithfully Following: Belize, Part 4

How could I have forgotten?? One of the neatest things happened to us that Wednesday! When we left San Antonio and headed out to go exploring by ourselves that afternoon, we went to a tourist attraction called "Blue Creek." It was a hike up to the waterfalls and caves that we'd been told existed. But, it was well worth the effort when we reached the top. We saw the craziest tree house I have EVER seen in my life. I had to really work to keep Dan from climbing up this ridiculous contraption, ha! And the creek really was blue! It was beautiful. The really neat part came when we walked back down to the road & started to get back in our car. Dan & I were wondering where a small store might be to buy some bottled water. Dan spoke up and asked the man sitting in the van next to us if happened to know anywhere. Lo and behold, he got out and offered us two bottles from a cooler he had in the back. He told us his name was Kevin and asked where we were from, the conversation just took off from there! Turns out, he was a South African native, transplanted to Belize over 9 years ago & had eventually bought some acreage in the San Antonio area. 52 acres to be exact. Then, he and his wife had built an inn on the property that his sister and brother-in-law were operating for them. Oh and we should really go by and check the place out if we were going to be around the rest of the week. Well then, don't mind if we do! I'll tell you more about that in a minute :-)
