So. . . . the other night Daddy heard a strange sound while driving the car and we began to suspect something was about to give out. Since the poor little car has over 212,000 miles, it wasn't a shocker. Thankfully, we had already set up a time for our friend, Seth, to take a look "under the hood" this morning. It turned out to be a good thing we did, because the car needed a whole new transmission!!! This is something that could take days at a repair shop! Not to mention hundreds of dollars! But, once again, God had already worked out the details for us!
We happened to be given enough money as a gift yesterday to cover the costs. (Before even knowing we needed repairs, remember?) The transmission happened to be available for purchase through a friend-of-a-friend. And, Seth happened to have the day off to help work on the car! Thank you, Lord! What an amazing series of blessings!
So, after a great dinner at Mom's and a little bit more packing, this day is finally over!
