Roughin it...

We've been hearing this wheezing sound coming from under the hood of the Honda for a few days. It wasn't that surprising, considering the geriatric state of the poor little car. 223,896 miles is a LOT of road time. Not to mention all the multi-state trips it's made. Anyway, the wheezing turned into a squeal, which turned into a full blown knock, which turned into a banging sound. This morning, we drove about 4 blocks away with a complete Drum and Bugle Corps following us.
Sigh.... So, Dan took the car to the mechanic down the road and the verdict: blown air compressor, which of course, powers the Air Condition!!! Cost for him to repair it? $900 give or take a few dollars. Ummm, we'll get back to ya on that one...
Needless to say, we're not looking forward to having the windows down in this Texas heat and humidity. At least the boys think it's an adventure.
