Tuesday morning, we had an ultrasound that revealed that Baby #6 is another BOY! The boys were all excited and Halia seemed resigned to her fate as the only sister, for now. The next day, I did notice she was carrying around her babydoll calling it her "sister," lol. Poor Halia.
In between all the box-packing and donation-delivering, we've also been preparing the kids to give Ranger to his new family this week. I have to admit, I had several good cries thinking about what a precious doggy he has been for us. Xav has taken it the hardest, but he seems better tonight. Our friends have three children and they were so excited to bring him home with them.
For his part, Ranger seemed happy to hang out with them, maybe a little confused as to what was going on. But, reports tonight confirm that he is adjusting well and did great at the vet's office. :-) Such a relief!
Tomorrow, we will have Xav's 10th birthday party here at the house. His friends are coming to play an Air-soft "Capture the Flag" war. Plenty of good ol' fashioned boy stuff: mud and weapons, ha.
