After we had finished up at the crawfish boil on Saturday, we drove to Beaumont. It's about 1/2 an hour away and the biggest town nearby. (The drive is comparable to going from Midland to the Speedway area.) We were headed to the mall, and noticed a huge carnival in the parking lot! The boys were actually both asleep when we pulled up. So, we decided to walk around the mall for a few minutes and then go ride some rides at the carnival.
Xavier rode a little truck ride, which he loved. And then, he got to ride the Ferris Wheel with Daddy. That was the highlight! They waved at me every time they passed by. He got off the ride exclaiming, "I could see everything, Mommy!!" So, that was a neat little excursion that we hadn't even counted on!
